Vintage unglazed Tamegrout ceramic vase with high neck
Produced in the tiny sand-beaten village of Tamegrout which lies on the edge of the Sahara, these ceramic forms are fired in traditional mud-walled ovens, fueled by fallen palm leaves gathered from the surrounding oases.
Judging by its texture and patina, this vase was likely produced in the 80's. It has a simple and organic shape with a rounded body and a long narrow neck with applied, knob-like decorations in four rows.
